Bike hire is available at a cost of 70 euros per week. availability is limited so early booking is requested if you want to guarantee we can meet your needs.

What Size Bike Frame Should I Choose?

Use the sizing chart below you should be able to find the right sized road bike for you. Knowing your height you should be able to determine to some degree what size frame will be most comfortable for you BUT THIS CAN ONLY BE USED AS A BASIC GUIDE.

Pedals and Shoes

Given the wide range of pedals now available which are not interchangeable if you do select to hire a bike you are required to bring your own pedals as well as your own shoes.

Saddles

If you find it difficult to find a comfortable saddle it is also possible for you to bring your saddle which can also be changed.

Bike Repair

Les-Stables offer the use of a small range of tools and bike stand which are available in the bike workshop. Where more complex repairs are required there is a small but well equipped and highly experienced bike store in the nearby town of Brantome who will do their best to solve any more difficult problems you may have.

Bike Storage and Security

In addition to the workshop, a secure area is available to store and lock your own bikes should you wish to bring your own bikes to the venue. Please note that bikes are not permitted to be taken into or stored in the apartments.

Helmets

Whilst the law in France does not stipulate the use of helmets for cyclists, Les-Stables advises use of cycle helmets at all times while biking in France and have a small supply free for you to use but advise you to bring your own helmets.

During guided rides by Les-Stables staff helmets are mandatory for all participants.
